WHAT MAKES A PICASSO

“Your artistic style is what makes your feel like you. It’s what makes a Picasso feel like a Picasso, and a Hitchcock feel like a Hitchcock.”
“Just as you develop your self and become more like “you” as you grow up, your artistic voice is doing the same thing. With every experience you have, your self changes and grows, and with every piece of art your style changes and grows.”

ART IN SOCIETY AND CULTURE

Art is a reflection of society and culture. It helps us understand what we are as human beings and influences how we relate to each other. Art is an expression of our inner thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It's also an expression of creativity that can be used for self-reflection or social influence. Art is also particularly important as a signifier of culture across the globe. Research has shown that art can affect the fundamental sense of self.

The fine art world can be perceived by many as an intimidating sphere of high culture that everyday people are apprehensive to approach. Art in the formal, institutionalized sense can seem both financially and intellectually inaccessible.

However, the fine art world is arguably more accessible than it has ever been before, due to the advent of online galleries and modern-day social communities like ours.

However, in the 1960s, the art world saw a shift in what was considered art and who could produce it through the modernist movement. Around this time, the art market started to operate in the same leagues as luxury brands.

The core of the art auction businesses shifted away from Old Masters and Impressionists throughout the 20th century. Major auction houses, like Sotheby’s and Christie’s, recognized that auctioning contemporary art could open up a whole new audience of buyers.“We still have this idea of the ‘right’ people and in front of the right collector and the right gallery owner. Today we all know that there I not only one direction to go with art. End goals changed and new ways to be successful and recognised as an artist emerged. Discovering hybrid practices, thinking of combining styles and techniques like Luigi P. and Gerardo Z. is the future of art. The purpose in buying art and a secure return of investment in the future.
